Topic: How About a Dating Service??

PinkFloyd    -- 03-25-2003 @ 10:26 AM
I think MoroccoUSA.com should start some type of dating service where all Moroccan men & women can hookup. I am sure some of us are/will be looking for a Moroccan sweethearts & vise versa.

I know some web sites don’t want to be held reliable for giving out profiles and photos to other members without their knowledge, instead we as members should be allowed to give access to our profiles & photos to anybody we wish.

What do you think guys & gales? come on don’t be shy   helping others is a good “Hassanah”, we need lot of votes!

PS: I don't thing you like your sister having a boyfriend or vice versa.

  Hello,

I think it is a good idea. I'm a married man and I believe that if the person (woman or man )wants to get married he should know the person better. How can you marry a person without knowing his or her habits, his way of thinking,ect...Dating give you a chance to make the right decision and avoid any problems they might rise in the future, leading to a divorce or daily discussions!!!

Thank you

ML

Good Idea Pink, i always believed that you should know the person well before you can get married, that way you can avoid having plenty of problems in the futur, and Homy, dating isn't always bad if the partners can respect some distance, my family has absolutly no problems with me dating because they trust me, and i think every family should be like that so their children will open their hearts to them and be honest ; i'm sure you have seen or heard of some moroccan girls that lie to their families about where they are going ect.... So let's be honest with ourselves and our families

Well, I was never allowed to date. I think it was a good thing and a bad thing. I never really wanted to date anyway, I just wanted to get married and that iswhat I did. I met my husband the Moroccan way and I was in a miserable marriage. he acted really nice with my parents and evryone and even with me in the beginning and then the violence started. I think I should have met him and "dated" him beforemarrying him. We were so different on so many different levels and what he wanted I could not give him and what I wanted he could nto give me and so we fought and argued every single day. If I had set dates with him and got to know him for months maybe even years then we bothwould have seen the things we hated in each other before committing to marriage. I agree with sanabelle and if there is trust and the parents have taught the child right, they will not disrespect themselves by having sexual relations outside of marriage. Whenever I have children I will let them meet people and date if they choose after they are adults of course. Marriage and choosing the right mate is very much like shopping even though people don't like to hear this. Now I know for the next time, so I think the dating section is a good idea  because dating is meeting not sexing. In my very humble opinion.

Great idea Pinkfloyd, there is this website "moroccansingles.com" from the name u would assume that it's moroccan, but the people there are not Moroccan, they are American, asian, spanish not even 2% are moroccans.
There is nothing wrong with dating, as long as there is a limit, nothing wrong with knowing the person before marrying him/her. Sure, long time ago, women get married without knowing the man, not even seeing him, they do it because their parents choose that for them. The difference now is women no longer have the patience they used to have long time ago, they use to live in misery because divorce is sin, (the way they look at it), or because they have children and they can't raise them alone. Besides Moroccan people now date anyway, so why not make it easier for them to date someone from the same backround and religion?

  I absolutely agree.
Dating within our culture and religion is the only way to go . Dating will help you decide if you want to keep him/her or just go your separate way .

  Hello Friends

I was under the impression that MoroccoUSA team gave you exactly what you want, they did put together “Zawaj Anyone” pgm for you, isn’t this suppose to be for the dating & eventually for Marriage, why are we still talking about it?

Later friends

Zwaj anyone is good program, I check it out every once in awhile, the thing about it is that people there who r looking for Zwaj are in Morocco.

I think you guys need to consider two things. First, if you are looking for a date, you may want to consider going to a night club or other ways to find yourself a partner. Second, looking for a serious marriage, then you may want to say something nice about and people who get interested in you should e-mail you directly.
